DESCRIPTION

Curfloo provides a curses-based, Command Line Interface chat client for Yahoo chat. It provides quick response and simple operation for those who prefer an uncluttered screen. Curfloo does not display the complex decorations of lines of chat that are output by some chat clients. Instead, it gives you highly readable, simple text and a single chat input line.

All of Curfloo's commands are accessed via the keyboard; no mouse is required. Additionally, any shell command or series of shell commands piped together, which output to stdout or stderr, may have that output redirected through Curfloo to chat (see the !<command> below).

Curfloo lets you chat without the requirement of either X or Java. It will work in xterm, rxvt, or other terminal emulators in X. Curfloo is fully threaded so it does not require a manual refresh like the HTML client; it allows text entry while simultaneously providing screen updates.
